First In-Person Event: The Battle of Cape Econmus 256BCE

This coming Saturday, July 17th, will be a special day for Next Gen. We'll be running our first in-person miniatures event, which will take place at the Gardiner Library, from 10am-3pm. If you're interested in attending, please reach out via our contact form on our website, or by checking out the link below.

The premier event for the day will be a large scale, 25/28mm ancient naval battle, run by David Waxtel. The game will pit Romans vs Carthaginians during the First Punic War. Dave hand built all of the ships, which are absolutely gorgeous. The game is so large that a regular table won't suffice. Instead, we'll be laying out a ground mat on the floor of the library's community room. Thus, the playing surface will be something like 16x20!

We're super excited to be running this event, and happy about the future of our organization. We'll be making more announcements about in-person events in the coming weeks. For now- enjoy the photos of Dave's ships. See you soon!
